How To Download Google Photos Into Lightroom Classic Cc UPDATED
How To Download Google Photos Into Lightroom Classic Cc
This plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic allows you to export images from Lightroom directly to your Google Drive account.
This plugin works in Lightroom Classic, and older versions equally far back as Lightroom 3 (though some features depend on the version of Lightroom).
The same download works for both Windows and Mac. See the box to the upper right for the download link (in orange) and installation instructions.
Please see the FAQ and known issues before reporting bugs.
It supports both Export and Publish.
Google Photos
This plugin works with Google Bulldoze, not Google Photos; you lot tin can upload to Google Photos with my Google Photos plugin (though exist warned that Google'southward back up for this is currently quite limited).
Binder-Count Limitations
The manner the plugin works with Google's API makes the plugin inappropriate for users with many (hundreds and thousands) of folders. As the binder count goes up, initial authentication to Google takes longer and longer, and at some point a also-high count every bit been reported to lock upwardly Lightroom. )-:
Availability
This plugin is distributed equally "donationware". I have chosen to make it available for costless — everyone can use it forever, without cost of any kind — merely unless registered, its functionality is somewhat reduced after half dozen weeks.
Registration is done via PayPal, and if you choose to register, it costs the minimum 1-cent PayPal fee; whatever amount you'd like to add together beyond PayPal's sliding fees equally a gift to me is completely optional, and completely appreciated.
Note: a Lightroom major upgrade, such as from Lr10 to Lr11 de-registers the plugin in the upgraded version, so if you want to maintain registration, a new ($0.01 if y'all like) registration lawmaking is needed in the upgraded version. Information technology makes for a hassle every couple of years, I know. Sad. See this note for details.
For details on plugin registration and on how I came into this hobby of Lightroom plugin development, meet my Plugin Registration folio.
"Privacy Policy"
Google requires that I have a stated "privacy policy", then here information technology is: I respect your privacy.
With one exception mentioned below, the plugin keeps all your Google data between you and Google, and it'south never sent to me or anyone else unless you go out of your way to share it (e.g. by explicitly sending me plugin logs or an email). If yous do choose to transport me something, I respect your privacy.
The plugin stores your Google information more often than not in the Lightroom catalog, and partially in Lightroom'due south preferences file. Data may appear in the plugin log file maintained by Lightroom on your system. The log file is cleared out each time Lightroom starts or the plugin is reloaded, and can be manually cleared via Lightroom's plugin manager.
The ane exception mentioned above is that during the process of authenticating the plugin (giving it permission to upload photos on your behalf to your ain Google account), technical limitations at Google require the procedure to momentarily pass through my web site's servers. The data in this stride is used only in furthering Google's hallmark process, and is neither logged on my server nor shared with anyone.
Unrelated to your photos or your personal data, the "check for plugin updates" procedure passes along anonymous organisation statistics: what version of the plugin is currently installed, what version of Lightroom is being used, and whether the plugin is existence run on Windows or a Mac; no Google data is involved in this.
